Individual or team coaching

A large part of your work as director or manager takes place in different teams. You need colleagues who are attuned to each other and able to respond to both business and personal changes. Team members who work together openly and actively and who are able to achieve results effectively. Keywords here are vitality, insight, overview, results, involvement, affection and at the same time the ability to keep a distance. However there are often various interests at play in teams and the interests of some often prevail above the interests of all. There may also be a lack of insight into the personal motives of another person, making open and constructive cooperation more difficult. This means that the results are not always optimal, either in business or personal terms. In such situations the coaching provided by ARC Consult may improve matters. Customisation, personal involvement and confidentiality form the strict basis of our work.

Coaching is an effective and economically sound method for exploring and, if necessary, adjusting ideas, know-how, attitude or the behaviour of one or more people. ARC Consult offers you the choice of individual or team coaching. We will be glad to provide help in making your choice.

Individual coaching

Individual coaching is a teaching process aimed at increasing personal insight, providing an opportunity for self-reflection and changing a person’s attitude and behaviour. It is an effective way of optimising the interaction between the individual and the organisation. The first step in the coaching process is to arrange a meeting between ARC Consult and the participant to discuss the teaching and improvement goals. Together with the participant and us, you determine the goals, content, duration and focus of the coaching. We then design the coaching programme to ensure it is relevant to the situations and problems with which your colleague is confronted on a daily basis. After the coaching sessions, a final meeting is held during which agreements are made in order to guarantee the results achieved.

You then know exactly where you are.

Immediate and lasting results

As a result of individual coaching, personal satisfaction and the effectiveness of a person’s attitude and behaviour increases, and this radiates to the immediate environment. Due to the interaction of self-reflection, constructive commentary and “homework”, your colleague progresses in the desired direction right from the outset. Coaching is based on actual problems from the daily work situation so that the results of the teaching process are clearly evident in the present. Cause and effect of behaviour and attitudes are analysed. Alternatives are studied and tested in a structured way, and where necessary theoretical concepts are proposed. In these cases attention is focussed on the context, strategy and structure of the organisation. Between sessions, the participant does homework and puts the exercises into practice at work, thus making it possible to assess the teaching process aimed at changing attitudes, assumptions and performance in the working situation. The coach is responsible for directing and providing security and confidentiality when dealing with personal information and offers further defining as well as confrontation where necessary.

Effective results

Individual coaching is a teaching method providing effective results, both in the short and long term. As a result of the interaction between independent learning and development, the performance of your colleague quickly improves. Coaching is a sensible and sound investment in your people; the coaching programme generally consists of a minimum of ten sessions. Individual coaching increases personal insight in the fields of knowledge, skills and sensitivity.

Team coaching

Team coaching provides useful extra support when optimising the results and cooperation of a group. The first step in the coaching process is to arrange a meeting between ARC Consult and the participants to discuss the teaching and improvement goals. In consultation with the participant and us you determine the goals, content, duration and focus of the coaching. We then design the coaching programme to ensure it is relevant to the situations and problems with which your people are confronted on a daily basis. After the coaching sessions, a final meeting is held during which agreements are made in order to guarantee the results achieved.

Team coaching in action

During two or more work conferences the focus is directed on the way in which the team achieves results. The participants and coach assess the capacity of the team to achieve results in their daily performance. Personal and collective operational assumptions, attitudes and techniques are discussed and developed in the desired direction. Considerable time is spent on reflection about stronger and weaker characteristics and their effects. Topics that have become deeply embedded are cautiously brought into the discussion.
